She was born in 1960 in Lvov, Ukraine. She graduated from the Trush Decorative and Applied Art College in Lvov in 1982. Since 1990 she has been a member of the Ukrainian Visual Artists Union and since 1998 she has been a member of the National Union of Ukrainian Painters. Galyna has worked as an assistant manager in the Children’s Folk Art School since 1994 and as a director since 1997. In 2008 she was awarded the “Lider Grupy Methodologist” title. She works with artistic textiles, Gobelin tapestry, carpets, batik, miniature painting and experimental weaving. Her works are compact and refer to folk art. Since 1984 Galyna has participated in numerous solo exhibitions and group exhibitions in Ukraine and abroad.
