Biography:
Nadiya was born in 1972 in Lvov, Ukraine. She graduated from the Faculty of Design, Clothing and Artistic Textiles of the Academy of Fine Arts in Lvov in 1996. She completed her postgraduate study at the History and Theory of Art Faculty of her home university. Since 2008 she has been a member of the Polish Applied Arts Association of Polish Artists and Designers and since 2014 she has been a member of the Association of Polish Artists and Designers – Warsaw district. Her exhibitions include: the “Textylizm” Ukrainian National Exhibition and Competition of Textile Art and the “Mini Textile” exhibition in the Pałac Mystectw Gallery in Lvov in 2014; the 1st Silk Painting Biennial in Milanówek, Poland in 2014; the “Z krosna do Krosna” 8th International Artistic Linen Cloth Biennial in the Museum of Crafts in Krosno in 2014; the “PreCzysta” Triennial – an international interdisciplinary exhibition in the House of Visual Artist in Chernivtsi, Ukraine in 2014; the “US Women” exhibition in the Rock University in Pennsylvania, the USA in 2015 and 2016; the “Osobowości malarskie” exhibition of the Painting Section of the Association of Polish Artists and Designers – Warsaw district in the House of Visual Artist Gallery in Warsaw in 2015; the “Debiuty w sekcji tkaniny 2015 – Nadiya Sobolewska, Dorota Wójcik, Liliana Chwistek” exhibition in the “Lufcik” Gallery in Warsaw in 2015; the “Wrześniowe Inspiracje” international exhibition of paintings, graphics and paintings on textile in the Pałac Mystectw Gallery in Lvov in 2015; the “Czerwień w dialogu” international exhibition in the Pałac Mystectw Gallery in Lvov in 2015; the “20x20” Exhibition of the Unique Textile in the Jan Nowak-Jeziorański Information Centre in Warsaw in 2016 and in Gdański Archipelag Kultury “Wyspa Skarbów” in Gdańsk in 2016; the “Sztuka Włókna 2016” exhibition in the House of Visual Artist Gallery in Warsaw in 2016; and the “Ukraina/Polska.
