Anna Michniewicz graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, Poland with an honours degree in the Studio of prof. Wojciech Sadley and annex in the Studio of prof. Tadeusz Dominik in 1978. Her solo exhibitions of textile and painting on silk include: the “Test” Gallery in Warsaw in 1992 and 2009; the Polish Theatre Gallery in Warsaw in 1996; the “Na Jatkach” Gallery in Wrocław, Poland in 2010; the “Fragmenty” exhibition in the “Apteka Sztuki” Gallery in Warsaw in 2012; the “Makatki” exhibition in the “Agora” Gallery in Warsaw in 2013; the “Manufaktura Królewska” manufactory in the Łazienki Park in Warsaw in 2013; the “Przenikania” exhibition in the “Galeria 72” Gallery in the Museum of Chełm Land in 2013; the “Pół na pół” exhibition in the “Apteka Sztuki” Gallery in Warsaw in 2014; the “Makatki” exhibition in the Cepelia Gallery in Warsaw in 2015; the “Przeczytane, znalezione” exhibition in the “Okno na sztukę” Gallery in the Community Centre in Kutno in 2016. Her most important competitions and exhibitions include: the 6th International Textile Triennial in the Central Museum of Textiles in Łódź in 1998; the Polish National Exhibition of Artistic Textiles in Łódź in 1981, 1985, 1992, and 2010; the Polish National Exhibition of Miniature Textile at the International Triennial of Tapestry in the Central Museum of Textiles in Łódź in 1985, 1988, 1995, 1998, 2004, 2007, 2010, 2013, and 2016; the “Z krosna do Krosna International Artistic Linen Cloth Biennial in the Museum of Crafts in Krosno in 2008, 2010, 2012, and 2014; the "Struktury Powiązań” International Art Festival in Cracow, Poland in 2010; and distinction at the 1st Silk Painting Biennial in Milanówek, Poland in 2014.
