Biography:
Urszula works with book art, textiles and painting. She has participated in many exhibitions, including: the 8th International Book Art Festival in 2006 and 2008; the 9th “Correspondence” International Festival of Book Art in 2012 and 2014; the “Z krosna do Krosna” 8th International Artistic Linen Cloth Biennial in the Museum of Crafts in Krosno, Poland in 2006, 2008, 2010, 2012 and 2014; the Polish National Exhibition of Miniature Textiles at the International Triennial of Tapestry in Łódź, Poland in 2013; and the 7th International Painting and Unique Textile Biennial in Gdynia, Poland in 2013. Urszula’s awards, distinctions and decorations include: the Minister of Culture and National Heritage Scholarship in 2007; the “Zasłużony dla Kultury Polskiej” medal from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage in 2011; the Interdisciplinary Art Competition of Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship – “Early Spring 38” in the Bureau for Artistic Exhibitions Gallery in Kielce, Poland – Honourable Mention in 2015; and the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship Culture 1st Level Award in 2015. In 2012 she has founded the “Domek Tkaczki” private museum of the old-time village in Bliżyn, Poland. In 2014 the museum has been awarded by the National Heritage Board of Poland for organising 22nd European Heritage Days in the Świętokrzyskie region.
