Biography:

Helga Borish was born in Thale, Germany, in 1939. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Dresden, Germany, in 1966 and since 1968 has lived in Magdeburg, Germany. Helga is a member of the National Association of Artists. She works with artistic textiles. She has participated in textile art symposiums in: Magdeburg, Germany; Frankfurt-on-the-Oder, Germany; Lubniewice, Poland; and Kowary, Poland. She has held many solo exhibitions, including: Germany (Magdeburg, Greifswald, Burg, Wernigerode, Erfurt, Halberstadt, Warnemünde, Halle, Bitterfeld, Quedlinburg, Wittenberge and Frankfurt-on-the-Oder), Barcelona, Spain, and Wrocław, Poland. Helga also has participated in numerous group exhibitions. Her works can be found in public institutions, museums and private collections.
