Barbara Pierzgalska was born in Siedlce, Poland and graduated from the Department of Textile at the State Higher School of Visual Arts in Łódź, Poland. She works with painting, unique textiles and industrial textiles. She is the recipient of a grant from the Minister of Culture and Art. Barbara has held over 30 solo exhibitions, including: the “Znaki czasu” exhibition in the Regional Museum in Siedlce, Poland in 2010-2011 and in the “Profil” Gallery in the Culture Center ZAMEK in Poznań, Poland in 2011; the “Tkanina unikatowa, malarstwo” exhibition in the Bureau for Artistic Exhibitions in Włocławek, Poland in 2011; the “Przenikanie” exhibiton in the Regional Museum in Radomsk, Poland and in the Central Museum of Textiles in Łódź, Poland in 2014. Barbara has participated in many group exhibitions in Poland and abroad, such as in Croatia, Finland, France, Greece, Holland, Germany, Serbia and Hungary. She was rewarded in the area of painting, unique textiles and designing industrial textiles and is a member of the Association of Polish Artists and Designers and of the Association of Polish Papermakers. Barbara’s works can be found in museum collections in Poland and in private collections in Poland and abroad.
