Biography:

Olga Łukowska was born in Lvov, Ukraine. She graduated from the Trush Decorative and Applied Art College in Lvov in 1994, from the Ukrainian Academy of Printing in 2000 and from the Lvov National Academy of Arts in 2005. She was awarded her doctorate in History of Art at the Lvov National Academy of Arts. Olga works with artistic textiles and is an assistant manager of the Lvov Art Palace and a Reader in the Ukrainian Academy of Printing. She is a member of Ukrainian Visual Artists Union and the Association of Ukrainian Historians and Art Critics. She has been a recipient of numerous awards, including: the “Gaude Polonia” grant from the Minister of Culture and National Heritage of the Republic of Poland in 2006; the grant from the Polish-American Fulbright Foundation “Lane Kirkland Scholarship” in 2007/2008; the Queen Jadwiga Fund at the Jagiellonian University in Cracow, Poland in 2010/2011 and the grant from the Polish National Commission for UNESCO in 2011.
