Biography: Prof. Jolanta Rudzka-Habisiak is professionally associated with the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź. She has taken part in over 200 group exhibitions and organized 40 individual exhibitions in Poland and abroad. She creates objects and installations, deals with fibre art and activities based on graphics and painting. In the years 2012-2020 she was the rector of the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź. Jolanta Rudzka-Habisiak is a laureate of many awards, to mention the recent ones: the Award of the Mayor of the City of Łódź for the individual exhibition “AB OVO” (2019); Honourable Mention at the International FIBER ARTS X, Sebastopol Center for the Arts, USA (2021); 3rd Prize at the exhibition “Sztuka Włókna 2022”, Association of Polish Artists and Designers/Warsaw District, Warsaw (2022). The artist’s latest group exhibitions include: “INTERLACES”, Head Bones Gallery, Vernon, Canada (2018); “Polska Grafika i Tkanina Artystyczna z Akademii Sztuk Pięknych im. Władysława Strzemińskiego w Łodzi”, University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada (2019); IV International Mini Print Cantabria, Calle San Ganzo, Spain (2020); International FIBER ARTS X, Sebastopol Center for the Arts, USA (2021); XXIV Salón de Minitextiles, CAAT Centro Argentino De Arte Textil (2021); 3rd Textile Art Biennial, University of Arts in Poznań (2021). The artist’s latest individual exhibition is “Jolanta Rudzka-Habisiak – Rytm, Kolor, Idea“, ELart Gallery, Łódź (2022).
