Elżbieta Kuźniar obtained her diploma with honours in Painting in 2004 and doctorate in 2017. She has participated in over 200 exhibitions and is a winner of many awards, including: minister’s scholarship (2003-2004), 2nd Prize – V Międzynarodowe Biennale Tkaniny Artystycznej ”Silezjany” (2003); 1st Prize – VI Międzynarodowe Biennale Tkaniny Artystycznej “Silezjany” (2005); 3rd Prize – International Open Air of Wicker Forms and Land Art, wicker forms, Łódź (2008); Award of the Rector of the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow – Ogólnopolski Konkurs “Sacrum w sztuce”, Wadowice (2008); Award by Galeria Filmowa Opus – 7th International Open Air of Wicker Forms and Land Art, Łódź (2009); 1st Prize – “Z krosna do Krosna”, 6th International Artistic Linen Cloth Biennial, Museum of Crafts, Krosno (2010); Artist-in-Residence Award – 4th Contextile Textile Art Biennial, Portugal, (2018); 2nd Prize and Prize of the Rector of the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź – 14th International Open Air of Wicker Forms and Land Art, Łódź (2021). Elżbieta Kuźniar has been a participant of many exhibitions in Poland and abroad, including: Deutches Textilmuseum, Krefeld, Germany; Tuch + Technik Textilmuseum, Neumünster, Germany; MIAT, Gent-Belgium; Central Museum of Textiles in Łódź; Musee des Beaux-Arts, Tournai, Belgium; Gloucester City Museum, UK.
