Karolina Kapustka started her adventure with weaving in 2008 in the “Na Jatkach” Gallery in Wrocław. She is a graduate of the University of Arts in Poznań – 1st and 2nd degree studies in the field of Art Education (2014) and in the field of Intermedia (2014). In 2014, she started working as an instructor in The Textile Art Studio in Kórnicki Ośrodek Kultury. As part of her work in the studio, she organizes workshops and exhibitions of the participants. She is the originator and organizer of the Kórnicki Festiwal Rękodzieła “Guzik z pętelką”. She is a participant of exhibitions in Poland and abroad, including: “Zerować się”, individual exhibition, Termy Maltańskie, Poznań (2018); “Rozruch”, exhibition of the winners of the artistic scholarship of the City of Poznań, Poznań (2017); “ODLICZANIE”, Galeria Starówka, Poznań (2017); “Niepowierzchowość”, Grupa Lepsze, Galeria Zamkowa, Lubin (2016); “Ćwiczenia z zachwytu”, Botanical Garden, Poznań (2014); “Gorzko, Gorzko”, UAP, Poznań (2013); The Insomnia Hotel, The Bazar Hotel, exhibitions accompanying the Night of Museums and Poznań Gallery Weekend, Poznań (2013); “Five o'clock”, The Amarant Cinema, Poznań (2013); “Sopot Fringe Festival”, Zatoka Sztuki, Sopot (2014, 2015); “Prowincja Dużego formatu”, Muzeum Regionalne in Głogówek (2014); “Rysować i tak, i tak, i tak...”, collective exhibition, Wozownia Art Gallery, Toruń (2014); “Miasto, którego nie było”, collective exhibition, BWA in Jelenia Góra (2013); “AK 30 – 30 days”, 30 exhibitions consecutively in the years: 2013, 2014, 2015. She has also organized numerous workshops in cooperation with, inter alia, the University of Arts in Poznań, Stary Browar, the National Museum, the Teacher Training Centre and many schools and kindergartens. Currently, she has been creating works on the border of weaving and macramé inspired by the Bible. She loves to use natural and recycled materials. The artist always looks for connections where they seem to be absent, tries to bring out new qualities from traditional materials. Karolin Kapustka has received an artistic scholarship from the City of Poznań for her activity in the field of Art Education.
