Biography:
Agnieszka Godszling studied at the Faculty of Pedagogy and Fine Arts in Kalisz of the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. She received the Master of Arts degree in the Studio of Textile Art in 2010. She completed her doctorate at the Faculty of Textile and Fashion Design of the  Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź in 2015. She has worked in her home university in Kalisz since 2010. She works in the art of fibre, unique textile (classic tapestries, painting on fabric in the hot batik technique as well as gluing and applique). Agnieszka Godszling took part in Festiwal Sztuki Włókna in Kowary in the years 2007-2017 and 2019-2021. She is the author of many individual exhibitions and a participant of numerous exhibitions in Poland and abroad (Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, Turkey, Belarus, Hungary). She is a laureate of many awards and distinctions, including: Grand Prix (2016) and Award (2018) in the “Z krosna do Krosna” International Artistic Linen Cloth Biennial, Krosno; 1st Prize (2009, 2021), 2nd Prize (2008, 2012, 2020), 3rd Prize (2013) in the Festival of  Fiber Art, Kowary; Award (2011) in the 8. Międzynarodowym Konkursie Arrasu, Tkaniny i Sztuki Włókna, Sala Baganza, Italy. Her works are in museum collections (Central Museum of Textiles in Łódź, Museum of Crafts in Krosno, Museum of the City of Gdynia, Arcadia Cultural Association, Italy) and in private collections in Poland and abroad.
