Ewa Dębowska is a graduate of Painting at the Institute of Visual Arts at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Zielona Góra and Musical Education at the Higher Pedagogical School in Zielona Góra. She expanded her art studies to include art therapy and oligophrenic pedagogy. In her artistic work, she focuses on creating conceptual works using painting effects, presenting a synthesis of phenomena and concepts in a visual form, reducing colour and seeking the ascetic colour of materials. She creates collages, artifacts and art objects, combining painting with textile. Ewa Dębska is a winner of the AKAPI Foundation Prize during the “Z krosna do Krosna” 10th International Artistic Linen Cloth Biennial (2018). The auctorial object “Quintet” is a synthesis of visual form and sound. Each of the five elements is a percussion instrument. Made of linen, the resonance box contains flax seeds and is surrounded by a coating of ground and roasted grains. The meditative noise of linen stones cleans the deposits of uncomfortable emotions.
