Paulina Buźniak was born in 1986. She is a visual artist and has worked in lithography, textile art, illustration and graphic design. She received the scholarship of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage for impressive achievements in studies in the academic year 2010/2011. She is a two-time winner of the Textile Art Biennial in Poznań and competitions related to graphic design. In the years 2006-2011 she studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw at the Faculty of Graphics – diploma with distinction for the work “[O] BŁĘDY” in Prof. Błażej Ostoja Lniski’s Lithography Studio with an Annex in Prof. Zygmunt Januszewski’s Illustration Studio. Since 2011 Paulina Buźnik has been a lecturer at her home university – currently at the Book and Illustration Studio. She has also run the Computer Techniques Studio for students of the 1st year of Graphics.

Gdy w dzieciństwie widziałam moją mamę szyjącą na maszynie, pomyślałam: to szycie nie może być trudne. Myliłam się. Praca z tkaniną jest bardzo skomplikowana. Trzeba jej poświęcić wiele czasu i potraktować jako wiernego powiernika radości i trosk. Wtedy udaje się stworzyć najbardziej naturalną formę ekspresji i swobodnie przekazywać emocje.
