Biography: Maciej Mesznik graduated with honours from the Textile and Clothing Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź, Poland under the tuition of prof. Krystyna Jaguczańska–Śliwińska in 2003. For that time, he has been a member of the Association of Polish Artists and Designers – the Polish Applied Art. Maciej has participated in many exhibitions and competitions, including: the “Projekt 2003” competition at the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź – Inter Mar Prize, MT Trade Company Prize (2003); the “Rocznik ‘03” – exhibition of the graduates in the Central Museum of Textiles in Łódź – nomination for the prize (2004); the “Etnodizajn Festiwal” in Kraków – the recipient of the prize (2010); the “Z krosna do Krosna” International Artistic Linen Cloth Biennial in the Museum of Crafts in Krosno, Poland – distinction (2012), the AKAPI Foundation Award (2014), prize (2016); Silver Medal at the 10th International Biennial of Textile Art “SCYTHIA 10” in Kherson, Ukraine (2014); “Small Visual Forms” competition in Rzeszów, Poland – nomination for the prize (2016); and the 13e Exposition Internationale d’art, Textile Contemporain – Miniartextill “Tisser les reves”, Paris, France – The Montrouge Prize (2017).
