Z krosna do Krosna
INTERNATIONAL ARTISTIC LINEN CLOTH BIENNIAL

SOMETHING ENDS, SOMETHING BEGINS

Something is coming to an end
Something is coming to an end, namely the final presentation of the "Z krosna do Krosna" 11th 11th International Artistic Linen Cloth Biennial, organized by the Museum of Crafts in Krosno. The conclusion of the edition is an exhibition showcasing the post-competition works, held at the Slovak National Museum - Museum of Ukrainian Culture in Svidník, taking place from October 12th to December 17th, 2023.

The directors of both museums: Marta Rymar and Jaroslav Dżoganik ceremonially opened the vernissage of the Slovak presentation of the 11. Biennale "From Krosno to Krosno", which gathered many guests, including numerous young enthusiasts of artistic textiles. We are glad that after a three-year break caused by the pandemic, we can resume our cooperation and plan new joint activities in the field of culture.

Something begins, that is the first news about the "Z krosna do Krosna 12th International Artistic Linen Cloth Biennial 2024
The Museum of Crafts in Krosno has already started activities related to the announcement of the 12. 11th International Artistic Linen Cloth Biennial 2024. Introductorily, we are announcing small changes that we hope will benefit the event. At the same time, we confirm that the main assumptions of the competition – requirements for dimensions and material (mandatory use of natural fibre and predominance of flax fibre) have not been changed. The works from the last 3 years will be honoured, starting from 2024. We encourage you to create new works. The organiser plans to remove the competition fee and introduce a digital user registration through an internet application form. We will inform the artists of the the changes in detail in the beginning of 2024 on our webpages and in our social media.
